SPIRITUAL LIFE
The faith formation that has been nurtured by the parents continues to be strengthened through regular classroom lessons, daily prayer, and weekly celebrations at Mass. It continues to grow through participation in devotional prayer such as the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and a Marian Day.
The students take an active part in learning about the Church's liturgical year through school-wide focus during the Seasons of Advent, Lent and Pentecost.
Each class works with their teacher on preparing the school Mass by reflecting on the Readings for that Mass and formulating the Prayers of the Faithful. Weekly Mass is usually every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
Listen to Father Tony's Homilies:
Prayers of the Faithful-Prepared and Proclaimed by the children:
Faith is put into action in many ways throughout the school year. Some of the ways in which the classes or the entire school participate are in reaching out to the Veterans, the seniors in Nursing Care Facilities, Walk-A-Thons, Food pantries, Helping Hands, and many more.
Within the school the students participate in the "Angel Buddies" program with cross age care and learning. Junior high students may apply for the seventh and eighth grade Leadership Team to assist the students and staff. Students in the middle grades can participate as servers, choir members, liturgists, instrumentalists and lectors.
We strive to send our graduates forth with a deeper understanding of their baptismal call, equipped with a spirituality of openness to growth and a desire to further their relationship with God.
